Oil painting on cradled wood panel, 80 x 80 cm. The cradle is about 3,7 cm deep and the edges are painted so that it looks good with or without a frame on the wall. Ready to hang.

The price includes the original price plus a 5% art fee, as required by Norwegian law.

Symbolism of the artwork "Breaking free"

I named this painting "Breaking Free" because it marks the moment I decided that I wasn't going to let externally driven choices control my work anymore. I broke free from the old habits and ways of thinking that used to shape my decisions. From now on, I would listen to what I really wanted—whether that meant using brighter colours or adding abstract elements without having to justify it in any way.

This painting was like a breath of fresh air. It gave me a sense of freedom that I hadn't felt in a long time. Since then, I've continued to embrace that freedom in everything I create.
